All visiting horses must be vaccinated for Equine Flu as a minimum.
The Centre requires that all horses/ponies have had their 2nd primary vaccine 7 days prior to visiting or have had an annual booster
• Passports must accompany each horse. Any horse without a passport will not be permitted onto the premises and will be asked to leave
• Passports will need to be shown at the time of entry
• Random ID checks will be carried out through the day
• It is crucial for all horse and pony owners to be vigilant and follow recommended guidelines on how to detect and prevent the spread of this infectious disease
• Horse is in normal temperature range
• Shows no signs of ill health, cough, nasal discharge, swollen or sore eyes
• Loss of appetite
• Lethargic behaviour
Please be sensible with your own horse/pony when visiting the Centre, do not touch or stroke other horses.
DO NOT allow muzzle to muzzle contact with other horses
All horses/ponies residing at TFEC are fully vaccinated for tetanus and flu.
All horses/ponies have all had to undertake a strangles blood test, before resigning at TFEC.
